I served in 40 in 1982, I've just seen the photo of my troop taken on the Canberra at Ascension Island. I had forgotten about that day but it all comes flooding back now.

Can anyone help me with the name of the Provost Sgt of 40 Cdo RM in 1970 when the unit was in Dieppe Barracks. I think he relieved Sgt Jim Curran and had previously been a Troop Sergeant in B Company.

Any chance someone can pass a message onto Micky Eccles, to join Mick Cheetham in the Red Cow, Richmond, for this years Army v Navy. Both sons will be there and with Dad's 70th birthday this year. will be great to see Mick once more and I know Dad will absolutely appreciate it.

Cheers guys,

Hi , anybody have any memories/pics of my dad Roy "Happy " Day I know he was in 40 commando from mid 50's to well into the 60's where(as far as I know) he was at Burma camp malaya, he was listed in the mid 60s as colour sgt in recce unit , he was good mates with "digger" staker who married my dads sister.Sadly he died of cancer in 2001 and as is so common I never got the chance to ask him questions I wish I had
